Larry Laffer liebt die Gamecity

Willkommen in Hamburg Larry. Auf den heute in Frankfurt gestarteten „GermanDevDays“ hat der Event-Veranstalter und Gründer von Assemble Entertainment Stefan Marcinek (aka Doctor Love) das Comeback der legendären Spieleserie „Leisure Suit Larry“ angekündigt. .

Entwickelt und produziert wird das klasssiche 2D Point & Click Adventure „Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry“ vom Hamburger Studio „Crazybunch“ (aka Love Machines). Ebenfalls an Bord ist der Gründer vom Hamburger Mobile Game Entwickler „Tiny Roar“ Maurice Hagelstein als Gamedesigner und Autor (aka Love Jedi). Als Chefautor der neuen Larry-Geschichte wird der erfahrene Narrative Designer und Buchautor Falko Löffler (aka Head of Love) das Team in der Hansestadt unterstützen. Der Release des Spiels ist für Q4 2018 für Windows und Mac OS geplant. Die Neuauflage bleibt seinen beliebten spielerischen Wurzeln treu. Larry geht erneut auf die Suche nach der Liebe, datet auf seiner Reise dutzende Frauen und muss mit Wortwitz und Liebesschwüren ihre Herzen erobern. Vorbesteller können das Spiel bis zum 23. Oktober auf Steam für 25,49 Euro statt 29,99 Euro kaufen. Hier die kurze Spielbeschreibung von der Steam-Seite:  

„vom Ende der 80er direkt ins 21. Jahrhundert – und Wow, hat sich die Welt vielleicht verändert! Während mein Welt- und Frauenbild aus den 80ern mit der modernen Realität härter zusammenprallt, als die Brüste einer drallen Blondine beim Joggen am Strand, date ich mich nun durch die moderne Welt! 
In einem für mich typischen Point & Click-Abenteuer erleben wir gemeinsam, wie ich mich in Faith, die rattenscharfe Assistentin des Bosses von Prune, einem weltweit erfolgreichen Technologieunternehmen, verliebe. Da heutzutage aber selbst Dating digital abläuft, muss ich erst einmal an meinem Score bei Timber arbeiten, dieser total angesagten Dating-App, indem ich Frauen date, ihre Bedürfnisse befriedige und so Punkte für mein Timber-Profil sammle. Mit der Hintergrundgeschichte wird eine direkte Brücke von Larrys Anfängen Ende der 80´er zur heutigen digitalen Welt geschlagen, in der Dating vollkommen anders verläuft als zu Beginn der Computer-Ära und vor dem Durchbruch des Internets. Das erste Larry-Game „Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards“ wurde bereits vor über 30 Jahren 1987 beim US-Publisher Sierra On-Line veröffentlicht. Gamedesigner und Erfinder des Helden und der ersten Larry Spiele war Al Lowe. Insgesamt sind im Verlauf der letzten drei Jahrzehnte insgesamt 13 Teile mit dem Protagonisten erschienen.
